Boarding Price List:
1 dog/night: $25
2 dogs/night: $40
3 dogs/night: $60
Boarding Info:
When you arrive, you need to have enough food for your dog for his stay. We feed and recommend Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers' Soul products but we understand you and your dog have your own preference. We don't want him to get an upset tummy during his stay with us. Also, the dog(s) must be up to date on all shots and we need to have proof of those shots. It's not that we don't trust you, but for the safety of our pets and other pets who may be staying with us at the same time (and by law) we need to see those records. We also need to have your Vet's info and an emergency contact (other than you) just in case!
Drop off is after 2 PM or you will be charged for Day Care for the day you drop off. Pick up is before 11 AM or you will be charged for Day Care for that day, too.
We apologize for the inconvenience but we often have one dog going out and another coming in on the same day and we really need that time to clean the crates, bowls and yard so the incoming guest will be coming into a clean place. We also wash and sterilize our toys between guests so we can make sure no one is swapping germs.
We do offer long term and frequent visitor discounts. We also have a referral program that allows you to earn free stays or free grooming services.

$15 per dog for 9 hours. After 9 hours an additional fee of $2/hr is added on.
Please note: Drop off for Day Care is between 7-9 AM if you will be dropping off during other times, please let me know in advance.

Shockwave Kennels offers Dog Boarding and Doggie Day Care in our home for our friends in the Hampton Roads area. We started offering the boarding option for our friends who are Military and sometimes have short or no notice departures and need flexible care for their furry friends. We have now opened our home and services to non military personnel as well, but still offer our service member clients priority placement in the event of a last minute schedule change.
We started offering Doggie Day Care as a way to socialize our Pit Bulls to make sure they would play well with others. Now, it has become a passion for us. We hate having to bring our dogs to the vet to have them boarded, they can only be out of the cages for a little while at a time (not the vet's fault, we know) but if we can go on a vacation, shouldn't your dog? We have a big back yard and lots of toys for the dogs to play with and as always we offer lots of treats and belly rubs to help pass the time. Your best buddy won't be in his crate often, only after meals until his tummy settles and over night. We don't like to let them be unattended for long... our home is puppy proof but you never know when someone will want to take a chunk out of our couch!
We also offer basic grooming options for you to keep that furry friend of yours looking and smelling great.

Brushing or de-shedding services are $5 for dogs under 40 pounds and $10 for dogs over 40 pounds. Basic manicures and pedicures are $5 (nail clip and file) or $10 for the Deluxe package which includes nail clip, file and paint and a pad and paw massage. We also offer packages for our grooming services or they can be packaged with day care or boarding.
We also offer a Spa Package that is great for expectant bitches or if the in laws are coming to visit. Spa Package includes bath with shampoo and conditioner, deep brushing, deluxe mani and pedi, full body massage and mouth and ear cleaning.
