The above said American Pit Bull Terrier is sold as a PET and/or SHOW PROSPECT for the total price of $_______ . A cash deposit of $______ is hereby made and cash balance is due to seller before the dog is placed in Buyers possession. Registration papers will also be held, if necessary, until balance is paid. Buyer understands that once the deposit has been made, it is a commitment to purchase the dog, and deposits are TRANSFERABLE but NOT REFUNDABLE.
IT IS HEREBY AGREED BY BOTH PARTIES THAT THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS WILL BE MET AND THAT NO OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS ARE EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
Seller guaranties that dog is a purebred Pit Bull Terrier and offspring to previously mentioned Dam and Sire. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE COLOR OF THE DOG.
Buyer certifies that he/she is not an agent for another individual and buyer is not purchasing the dog to be used in a puppy mill or other potentially harmful activities to the dog. NO DOGS OR PUPPIES HAVE BEEN SOLD FOR ILLEGAL OR FIGHTING PURPOSES.
At transfer, Seller guaranties dog will be current on all vaccinations and will have been vaccinated against the following diseases: Distemper, Adenovirus, Para-influenza, Parvovirus, Coronavirus and Leptospira. Pup will have received a Heath Certificate, if being shipped by air. Pup will have been dewormed before shipping.
At Buyers expense, Shockwave Kennels recommends a licensed Veterinarian examines dog within 24-48 hours of transfer to validate health guarantee. If purchased on a Saturday, buyer has to the close of business on Monday to see a veterinarian. If at this time the pup is found to be diseased with any of the above listed diseases, Seller will replace the pup for one of equal value, as determined by seller, provided the pup is serious enough that it warrants Euthanasia in the opinion of TWO veterinarians, one of whom is sellers choice. Buyer agrees to pay all medical bills associated with pup and shipping charges. The registration papers must be returned to Shockwave Kennels before a the pup will be replaced. If seller chooses NOT to have dog seen by a vet in the recommended window and a health problem arises, we do not guarantee a refund or replacement.
THE BLUE COAT COLORING IN MOST BREEDS IS ASSOCIATED WITH SKIN PROBLEMS, SOME OF WHICH MAY NOT RESPOND TO TREATMENT. BLUE COATED DOGS ARE PRONE TO BACTERIAL, STAPH AND VIRAL SKIN INFECTIONS AS WELL AS VARIOUS FORMS OF DERMATITIS. NOT ALL BLUE COATED DOGS WILL BE AFFECTED, AND THOSE THAT ARE CAN BE EASILY AND INEXPENSIVELY TREATED . WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE AGAINST ANY SKIN OR COAT PROBLEMS. WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SKIN OR COAT CONDITIONS THAT ARE COMMON IN BLUE COATED DOGS. WE RECOMMEND DISCUSSING THIS WITH YOUR VET BEFORE YOU BUY A BLUE COATED DOG OR A PUP WITH BLUE COATED PARENTS.
No other warranties are expressed or implied.
Buyer releases seller, Shockwave Kennels and their estate from any and all liability an/or damages caused by this pup upon transfer. Damages include but are not limited to property destruction or injury to a person or group of people.
Shockwave Kennels reserves the right to physically verify the home to which the pup is going to and we may also check on the pup periodically to ensure its’ well being. We also reserve the right to seize the dog from the SPCA, shelter or pound if the pup is found to be a victim of dog fighting, abuse, neglect or any other situation that is hazardous to its’ health and well being. This contract may be used to show ownership of pup in the event it is seized. If the pup is seized for illegal purposes, no refund will be given and you will not receive the pup back.
Buy Back Clause: We do not want our dogs to go to shelters and we will do all we can to assist you in re-homing your dog. If you must get rid of the dog for reasons such as moving, personality conflicts with other members of the house, medical issues in old age or any other reason, please let us know so we can get a chance to get him/her back. We request you give us a chance to buy him/her back from you for up to 60% of original purchase price. Buy Back price will depend on the following conditions: age and health of the dog, temperament and/or spaying/neutering. If you can not train your dog, we will assist you in training or attempt to re-train your Shockwave dog at no cost to you to ensure you have a happy and safe dog. As always if you have any needs, questions or concerns please contact us, we will always want to know how our pups are doing.
Payment, Pick up and Registration Papers:

Once we receive the deposit, pup will be picked up between 6-8 weeks of age, unless another term has been agreed to by seller and buyer. Shipping will occur within 48 hours of final payment if not being picked up. If pup is going to a local home, it will be picked up when final payment is received. If Pup is left in the possession of Shockwave Kennels for more than five (5) days past receipt of final payment, the buyer agrees to pay $10 per day to Shockwave Kennels for boarding, unless it has been previously agreed upon by buyer and seller (i.e: Christmas Present or Gift) If pup is left for more than thirty (30) days, buyer forfeits dog and it is available for someone else to purchase. If this occurs, buyer will receive another dog of sellers choosing from same litter or if no others are available, will receive a pup from next litter.
We will not offer refunds.
Registration papers will only be received if you pay full asking price. If you are receiving a discounted price you may purchase papers from Shockwave Kennels for an additional fee. If papers are not available to buyer when the pup is picked up, we will mail them to you as soon as we receive them. If your pup is being shipped to you, you will receive the papers via express mail so nothing happens to them.

Ear Cropping:
Ear cropping will be done at buyers expense. It is usually done between 5-10 weeks of age. We will not pay for any treatment relating to or stemming from ear cropping. If pup is paid in full, the pup will be available to buyer for the procedure. Understand that cropping the ears will delay shipping until the sutures have been removed to prevent injury or infection during transit. If you choose to crop the ears while pup is still in our possession, you agree to Pay an additional $50 to purchase price for additional care and treatment by us as the pup will need medication and be separated from other pups to ensure no injuries occur.

Please Note: The American Pit Bull Terrier is a fantastic dog with great needs. They require interaction with the people who belong to them. If you are not able to devote a considerable amount of time to your new friend, please consider another breed. The APBT can be strong headed and defiant at times and requires a stern leader and a firm voice in order to be a good addition to your family. If you get your pup home and have problems disciplining or house training, please contact us and we are more than willing to help you regain your happy home. Some dogs are more stubborn than others and require a more experienced person to teach them. We also STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to take your new furry friend through basic obedience or a puppy training class to make your life together more enjoyable and less stressful. We also recommend crate training your pup. It is a place where he can be alone and relax without other people or animals bothering him and will learn to love their place. It is also very helpful in house breaking him since they will usually not soil where they sleep. APBT is best with a solid plastic crate instead of a wire one, since they can get their paws or noses out and destroy the things that are close by. A towel or blanket is fine, but not a requirement. If the pup is younger than 12 months old, you may want to use an old towel so they don’t rip up nice, expensive dog bed or blanket. Keep those for over 18 months of age.
A well balanced diet is also important to the pups health and longevity. When you pick your pup up, it will be on “Chicken Soup for the Large Breed Puppy Soul” food and we recommend that you keep the pup on that for best results, since it is a holistic, all natural food. If you will be changing foods, ask us for a small bag to wean the pup from our food to the food of your choice. Always change food slowly as not to give the pup an upset stomach or you more of a mess to clean up.
